Guitar I & II Classes
Guitar I
(Instructor: Mr. Hendricks; Semester)
This class is designed for students with little to no experience on the guitar. Students will learn how to play melodies, basic finger picking techniques, and a variety of basic (open string) chords as well as basic music notation and tablature. Students will need to supply their own acoustic guitar, however, a few school-owned instruments are available to sign out for the semester on a first-come, first-served basis. No amplifiers will be used at school.
Guitar II
(Instructor: Mr. Hendricks; Spring Semester)
Guitar II allows students who have completed Guitar I or advanced guitar students to learn in a group environment. The class will review basic techniques as well as introduce intermediate and advanced concepts. Students will also have the opportunity to teach and learn from others. A basic history of guitar and guitar playing will be covered.
